Great Value On Offer in Coral Cup Betting

The Coral Cup is looking like one of the best betting heats of the entire Cheltenham Festival with several different horses in contention for the win in what is traditionally a tough race to bet on. The Coral Cup itself has become a popular race at Cheltenham and will take its place on the card after the Queen Mother Champion Chase on Wednesday. The race takes place over 2m 5f and normally attracts a large field meaning there is plenty of value on offer as the bookmakers scratch their heads looking for a favourite.

There are any number of horses who are likely to go off well fancied for the 2010 Coral Cup and they include Mourad for Willie Mullins who looks a nice type. He came in third in the Triumph Hurdle last season and following a couple of good runs this season should go into this one with every chance if fit. Last time out at Navan he came in a good second behind War Of Attrition on soft ground and has to be taken seriously on that form. There is no surprise to learn that Paul Nicholls has a strong hand in the Coral Cup with his charge being led by the impressive looking Beshabar who is another well backed in the Coral Cup Odds. He won two good races back in February so comes to the race in form and will appreciate the 2m 5f trip on offer in the Coral Cup. Paul Nicholls always has his yard at full tilt for Cheltenham meaning that Beshabar has to have real claims in this one and the current odds are reflecting his chances.

Another one that we like that is featuring at the top of the betting is Quantitativeeasing for Nicky Henderson who is another trainer to follow at this years Cheltenham Festival. Quantitativeeasing has had a cracking campaign so far with two wins and a second leaving him in great shape for an assault on the Coral Cup. AP McCoy is the man to take the ride on Quantitativeeasing and the Champion Jockey will be confident of his chances in what looks like an open field. Henderson also has another with strong claims here in Spirit River who looks to have the class to triumph in the Coral Cup despite being somewhat inconsistent this season so far. He won at Cheltenham in December to put his name forward but followed that up with a disappointing 13th last time out at Newbury last month. If he has a hot day then his current odds look very attractive in a race that looks difficult to call. All the top horses have some great looking odds about them with none of them making clear obvious claims to be the favourite, we like Quantitativeeasing for Nicky Henderson who might just have that extra piece of class needed in a large field.
