Mares Hurdle Betting

David Nicholson Mares Hurdle

The David Nicholson Mares race was introduced for the 2008 Cheltenham festival. This Mares race is for 4 year olds plus and the first two winners of it were 5 years of age. This races looks a good addition to the festival allowing Mares an opportunity to run against their own gender.

Among the final declared runners for this year’s renewal is last year’s runaway winner Quevega, trained by Willie Mullins. The six-year-old is one of 11 Irish-trained entries along with her stablemates J’Y Vole and Morning Supreme as well as Voler La Vedette, who is unbeaten in four starts this season for trainer Colm Murphy.

The home team includes a couple from the Nicky Henderson’s stable in Carole’s Legacy, Here Comes Sally and top French performer Stravinsky Dance.
